I had the absolute pleasure of chatting to Ron while I was in the US. As I’m sure you know, Ron is famously the creator of the Monkey Island series as well as Maniac Mansion and, more recently DeathSpank. Ron and I met in a private museum of 70’s and 80’s videogame cabinets - which was amazing and, of course, completely appropriate. Ron and Tim Schafer and the very charming Zack Karlsson (friend of wootfly.tv) had been pitching to LA publishers all day and were kicking back, eating pizza and playing the original Secret of Monkey Island with the young son of the museum’s owners. I felt privileged to be there. Ron is an exceptionally charismatic and passionate guy. I really enjoyed my time with him. I hope wootfly.tv can catch up with him again soon.

Part 2 to come, as well as wootfly.tv’s chat with Tim Schafer.

Please tell your friends about wootfly.tv, like it on facebook and follow it on twitter. I’m trying to prove that people are interested in the people that make the games we all enjoy. Only my fellow videogame enthusiasts can help me do this. Its a noble cause and you’ll be a part of the revolution which will put the power back in the hands of the videogame creators.
